CITYBLOCK PLC ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF DEVELOPMENT SITE IN LEICESTER AND SALE OF MANCHESTER SITE

CityBlock plc (the "Company"), the AIM-quoted developer and operator of
up-market, secure, off-campus student accommodation, today announces that is has
exchanged contracts for the purchase of a development site in Leicester for a
sum of #925,000 with completion expected by the end of April 2006. Debt funding
will be provided by Yorkshire Bank plc. The site is in a prime
student-orientated location in the Leicester area.

The Company has also completed the sale of its Manchester site, acquired in July
2005, for #2,200,000. The profit from this disposal will be re-invested in
future sites.
